In this episode of Nip It in the Gut Sara is speaking with Ashley Hafer, a nurse, mom, daughter, athlete and travel warrior! After receiving a shock diagnosis at 45, she faced having to manage debilitating fatigue, achiness, GI symptoms and trips to the ER for difficulty breathing and chest pains. These flare ups were not only very painful, they interfered with her active life. So, Ashley made a decision to get to the root cause of her symptoms... and her transformation is phenomenal. I hope you’re as inspired as I am by Ashley’s commitment to not only heal her body but to keep her body healthy.

Today I’m having a conversation with my friend Theresa Garvin, who is a LICSW, a transformational coach, and the owner and founder of The Life You Imagine. Theresa has been providing psychotherapy services to children, teens, adults, and families for over 35 years. After seeing the positive and rapid changes in her own life from transformational coaching, she became certified as a Life Mastery Consultant in 2020, and has been providing coaching to adults since then.
After sharing with one another that we both have ADHD, Theresa recommended that I read the book A Radical Guide for Women with ADHD by Sari Solden MS, who pioneered working with women and ADHD , and Michelle Frank, PsyD. Not only is this book a comprehensive guide for women with ADHD to increase their understanding and self-acceptance but Solden and Frank also take the reader through an action plan for women with ADHD to identify and pursue their dreams. This book affirmed for both Theresa and me why we love our work as coaches. Although Theresa helps adults and families decide what they want to transform in four main areas of their life, while I help people to create and take action on a vision for their health, we both provide principles, practices, support, and guidance for our clients to create powerful results in their lives which they absolutely love!
Theresa can be reached at:

Nip It In The Gut
Sara Englis is an experienced health and nutritional coach. She first became interested in nutrition and holistic health after the birth (28 years ago) of her third daughter, who suffered from multiple gut problems. She worked closely with a homeopathic MD for 10 years. As the mother of 4 children, she sought advice from naturopaths, chiropractors, and osteopaths to address their individual ailments to allow their bodies to heal themselves. After many years of teaching herself the basics of nutritional science she enrolled in the Institute of Integrated Nutrition’s certification program and became a licensed health coach in 20012. Since then she has balanced a teaching career and health coaching business and looks forward to helping you take control of your health!
